    Career Center Chats: Real Talk for the New College Student
    One of the most common questions you will hear during your college career is also one of the most difficult questions to answer, "What do you plan on doing after college?". We get it. You just got here and you may not be sure where you are going tomorrow, much less four years from now. But don’t worry, the Career Center can help take some of that pressure off by helping you begin with the end in mind. From on-campus student employment to career and major exploration, to job fairs and networking events, the Ball State University Career Center offers nationally recognized services that are truly making an impact in the lives of students. Join us to hear more about how our services can prepare you for success in college and beyond.

    Community Service Opportunities
    In this session, students will learn about various ways to get involved in the community through community service.  They will gain valuable information about our local non-profits, and how to search for service opportunities on our volunteer management system, GivePulse.  In addition, students will learn how to add Impacts (service hours, donations, etc…) that they have given to the community to create a service record.  Lastly, students will learn about Cardinal Kitchen, our on campus food pantry for students, run by students! 

    Dining on Campus
    We are here to serve you!  Join us as we highlight our dining venues on campus, share our meal plan options, and help you pick the perfect plan just for you.  We will also discuss how you can dine on campus with confidence when it comes to food allergies or other dietary needs as we offer one-on-one meetings with Dining’s wellness nutritionist.  This helpful question and answer session will answer all things food related.

    Diversity and Inclusion at Ball State
    This session explores diversity and inclusion at Ball State University. Session presenters will address commonly asked questions about the experiences of students of color and LGBTQ students. Learn about campus resources, programming, and institutional efforts to create inclusive campus community. 

    Excellence in Leadership
    Excellence in Leadership helps you connects with the right people, helps you learn to lead, and allows you to gain skills and course credit. We'll teach you how to build yourself while building others. Our two-year program will help you hone your leadership skills, regardless of your major. Join our conversation to learn more about the program and about freshmen scholarships!

    Fraternity and Sorority Life - Recruitment and Intake Information
    This session will help potential new members learn about the different FSL governing councils and the different process in which they go about bringing in new members into their organizations under each council. 

    Getting Involved and Finding Connections and Community on Campus
    Ball State offers our students a vibrant campus experience through many cocurricular and extracurricular programs. Our students also tell us they find community and connections within our student organizations. In this session, students will learn about various ways to get involved on campus through various student organizations and other programs and services. We will review Benny Link, Ball State’s online hub for student involvement. In Benny Link, students will learn how to search for student organizations they may be interested in joining and to how to find out what campus events are scheduled on campus. There will be plenty of time for questions and for us to share how to stay connected with Student Life as we move through your first semester at Ball State.

    Informational Session on Counseling Center Services
    This session will offer information about the services offered to students from the Ball State University Counseling Center and a staff member will answer any questions you might have about our services or concerns you may have.

    Join a Music Ensemble - Open to All!
    Did you sing or play an instrument in High School? Find out how to join a music ensemble at Ball State! Ensembles are open to ALL majors. We have a variety of offerings no matter your level or time commitment ability. This will be a chance to get all your questions answered! Hear from directors of marching band, concert bands, choirs, jazz ensembles, and opera to learn how you can continue making music at Ball State! 

    Making Yourself At Home On Campus
    Learn how to make your residence hall a "home on campus." We will cover questions related to move-in and living within your residence hall.

    Meet the Community: Fraternity and Sorority Life at Ball State
    This will be a student lead leadership panel made up of FSL leaders that will provide potential new members with information on how to make connections and how to network within the FSL community, especially on how to build connections all while adhering to guidelines as a result to COVID-19 in the Fall 2020 semester.

    Student Involvement, Inclusion, and Support
    This session will highlight opportunities for student involvement and how students are supported through retention efforts, inclusion, and accessibility. 

    Virtual Tour of the University Libraries
    Join us as we take a look at the University Libraries and exciting opportunities for student research. This session will include live Q & A as well as a video highlighting the resources available to you from the diverse collections of Bracken Library and specialized branch libraries.
