    For more than 30 years, Ball State's Center for Information and Communication Sciences (CICS) has prepared students to solve communication and information challenges in business, government, education, and nonprofit organizations using the latest technologies. Our graduates are in demand for professional positions leading to management in one of today's hottest industries. More than 90 percent of our students find jobs in the field—with starting salaries typically ranging from $55,000 to $80,000.

    Our 11-month and 38-credit-hour degree options feature applied research, community service, and immersive learning experiences. You'll work on real-world projects for major industry partners such as Interactive Intelligence, Cisco, AT&T, and Accenture and learn from faculty with many years of industry experience. Our excellent labs and institutes and full-time graduate assistantships provide special opportunities. This comprehensive course of study also includes a unique social learning program that will sharpen your networking and interpersonal skills, giving you confidence and competence in business environments.
